Recent reports claim that this weekend was a tremendous success for Apple – the company has managed to sell impressive 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units. Whether it’s the bigger screens or better battery life, Apple fans rushed to purchase the new devices.
Last year, Apple sold 9 million iPhone 5S and 5C units during the launch weekend, and according to Tim Cook, sales for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded all of their expectations.
“We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin.”
The new iPhone devices are yet to be released in all of Apple’s markets, which means that these figures are probably going to climb even higher up.
The iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7in screen, a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels, a 2GHz A8 processor, and 8-megapixel camera, a 1,850mAh battery, and a maximum storage capacity of 128GB. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, it comes with a larger battery (2,910mAh), a 5.5” screen, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The rest of the specs are the same as the ones found in the iPhone 6.
