iCloud is useful, sure – it allows you to put all of your photos and videos into your virtual “cloud” storage, and keeps them there safe. However, some of Apple’s devices do this automatically, and not everyone wants that (think of celebrities and their pics), which is why today we’ll explain how to disable iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Turn Off Photo Stream
1. Go to Settings (the cog logo) of your Apple device, and tap on iCloud.
2. If you are using a Mac, go to your System Preference menu, and from there navigate to iCloud.
3. Turn off Photo Stream (automatically uploads your photos).
4. Do this for all of your Apple devices.
Bear in mind that, if you decide to disable iCloud on all of your devices, all the images you had in your virtual storage will be lost. It’s a good idea to save your photos manually before switching iCloud off.
