Did you know that the two most popular messaging apps, WhatsApp and Viber, can be installed and used on your computer? The only catch is that WhatsApp must be installed using an Android emulator, because the application has no PC version (unlike Viber). It is important to add that you must have these two apps already installed on your smartphone in order to use them on your PC.
To install WhatsApp on your PC, you’ll need to use an Android emulator called the BlueStacks App Player. Go to http://www.bluestacks.com/ and download the emulator (available for Windows and Mac). Once you have installed the emulator, use the interface (same as on your smartphone) to download WhatsApp from the Google Play Store. The rest of the process is the same as the process during the installation on your smartphone. The disadvantage is that you cannot use the same WhatsApp account on your PC and smartphone at the same time. To use it on your PC, you must either remove the account from your phone or create a second WhatsApp account with another phone number (easier and more convenient).
This process is easier because there’s an official PC version of Viber. Visit the site and download Viber for your OS (available for Windows, Mac and Linux). After installation, you should choose your country, enter your phone number and wait for Viber to send the activation code to your smartphone. When you enter the code, the PC app will synchronize with your smartphone . After that, you can use Viber on both your PC and smartphone, without any problems.
