Nokia announced its new N1 tablet yesterday, and today, Jolla unveiled that it was launching a Jolla Tablet crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The company managed to reached its set goal ($380,000) in a matter of hours, and will be making this project a reality.
The Jolla Tablet measures 203 x 137 x 8.3 mm, and weighs 384 grams. It comes with a 7.85” display, and a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels (330ppi), and it is powered by a 64-bit 1.8GHz quad-core Intel processor. The device runs the company’s open-source OS – Sailfish 2.0 – which supports Android apps.
On the tablet’s back is a 5-megapixel rear camera, and there’s a 2-megapixel shooter in the front. In terms of storage, the Jolla Tablet offers 32GB of expandable storage, as well as 2GB of RAM. Connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and microUSB.
