Last week, Apple sent out invitations for its September 9 event, where the company will most likely unveil the new iPhone 6. Lenovo has taken some inspiration for its own invitations from Apple’s “Wish we could say more” tagline, and reminded its users that they, too, had something to show us on September 4.
The invitation design looks like Apple’s, and Lenovo’s tagline goes “We can’t say anything either”. Aside from the subtle jabs at Apple, the invitations states clearly that Lenovo will be announcing the Vibe X2 at its event.
A recent leaked photo of the handset showed that the Vibe X2 is going to arrive with a metal body, while the lollipop in the invitations hints at the fact that the phone might be one of the few devices to come with the new Android L pre-installed (some of the rumours suggest that the L actually stands for Lemon Meringue Pie, and not Lollipop, but we’ll have to wait and see). Other Vibe X2 specs include a 5in Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13-megapixel rear one.
As soon as we have more info about the Vibe X2, we’ll let you know!
