Power banks are one of those devices that can really make your life easier, and there are some tips you can follow that will help you use them longer and get better results.
Is it wiser to use a power bank as often as possible or as rarely as possible? What about sun or humidity? Read more to find out.
Use Your Power Bank on a Regular Basis
Your power bank suffers if you do not use it at least three times a month. When we say this, we mean that you should recharge it, and then empty it completely each one of these times. If you own a power bank of lower quality, it’s recommended that you repeat this process more often, but at least three times per month.
Power Banks Don’t Like Sunlight and Humidity
Avoid exposing your external battery/power bank to direct sunlight and using it in a moist environment. Keep this in mind when you go, e.g. for a walk on the beach etc.
Never Store Away Your Power Bank Completely Empty
If you are planning to put away your power bank and not use it for a while, it is recommended that you charge it up beforehand. Picture this: you go on a vacation and leave your empty external battery at home for a couple of weeks or months. When you come back, it will definitely no longer work as well as before. So, if you want to keep it in good condition for as long as you can, you should put your power bank aside only after it has been fully charged.
