Mark Zuckerberg wants you to spend as much time as you can on Facebook, which is why he and his team are always working on making your News Feed better. According to some recent reports, another new option for FB users is in the works – one which will allow you to pick friends and Pages you want to give priority to.
A couple of screenshots and some details about this new feature appeared on SocialTimes the other day, and Facebook confirmed that the test was real, but that they are yet to decide whether or not they are going to roll it out in the future. In the screenshots, you can see an animated puppy at the top of the screen, prompting you to pick out your favourite contacts to “see more of what you love”.
Choosing your favourites on Facebook could be both good and bad. The good news is that you will be able to see only what you want, from your closest friends and family. The bad news is that if those people on your list are not of the sharing kind, you won’t log into Facebook as often as before, meaning that you’ll spend less and less time there – the exact opposite of what FB wants.
