Artistically-inclined Android users rejoice: a Photoshop medley is coming to a smartphone near you! Namely, Adobe has launched 4 new Creative Cloud applications for Android entitled Photoshop Mix, Brush CC, Shape CC and Color CC. We hear you. It was about time. So, let’s review what you can expect from this creative Adobe potpourri, shall we?
Mix It Up with Photoshop
Photoshop Mix lets you play around with various images, cut them out, combine them, change their hues and colours and make your photos pop out with numerous enhancements. When you’re done editing your magnum opus, you can directly share it with your friends on social media or send your designs to Photoshop CC on your desktop in order to edit the creation even further and in an even more advanced way.
Any Photo is Now a Brush!
With the Brush CC app you can transform any of your photos or graphics into high-quality brushes which you can then use in Adobe Photoshop CC or Illustrator CC.
Make Your Own Theme
Color CC allows you to sample colours wherever you go to create instant colour themes and spectra you can then use in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
The Shape of Things to Come
The last of the four apps, Shape CC, captures and converts images into vector graphics. Such converted images you can also then use in Adobe Illustrator CC or Adobe Photoshop CC.
And, while we’ve focused on the newest Android apps, it won’t hurt to mention that Adobe’s also releasing two apps for iOS: Hue CC, which creates custom filters for Adobe’s video apps, Premiere Pro, Premiere Clip and After Effects CC; and Preview CC, which makes it possible for you to preview your creations on multiple iOS devices.
So, what else is there left for you to do but run to the Google Play Store right now—and stop denying the world your secret masterpieces!
