During its Keynote on the 7th of September, Apple unveiled two new flagship smartphones: the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Along with this dynamic duo, the company also revealed the second generation of the Apple Watch, which now comes with GPS and is completely waterproof.
When it comes to the two handsets, the biggest change is definitely the disappearance of the headphone jack, which makes it impossible for Apple users to recharge their smartphones and listen to music at the same time. Other than that, it’s worth mentioning that both the 7 and 7 Plus are now resistant to water and dust (IP96 certification), faster (thanks to the A10 Fusion processor), and feature a better camera (12 megapixels) and a more powerful battery. The design didn’t change a lot from that of the iPhone 6s, except you can purchase these phones in new colours: Jet Black and Black. Another interesting fact is that Nintendo debuted its very first Mario mobile game during the Keynote – Super Mario Run – which will exclusively come to iOS and the App Store.
And for the iPhone 7 Plus, a Brand New Dual-camera System
While both models include optical image stabilization, an f/1.8 six-element lens, and a quad-LED flash, only the iPhone 7 Plus features a dual-camera sensor: one wide-angle and one telephoto camera. This camera promises excellent photo quality, better photos in low-light conditions, more detailed pictures, and, if needed, a shallow depth-of-field effect. It should be mentioned that both phones sport improved FaceTime selfie cameras, now with seven megapixels.
Both the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus will become available on the 16th of September, with either 32, 128 or 256 gigabytes of storage.
