Earlier today, without a lot of fuss, Sony announced the Xperia E4 and the Xperia E4 Dual. Pricing and release details are yet to be revealed, but here’s what we have learned so far about the phones.
The Sony Xperia E4 comes with a 5” screen (bigger than the one found on its predecessor), and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It boasts a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage.
There is a 5-megapixel rear camera on its back that can shoot 1080p videos, and a 2-megapixel camera in the front (the Xperia E3 had a VGA shooter). As for connectivity, you get 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio, and the dual-SIM option, but unfortunately no LTE. The Xperia E4 is powered by a 2,300mAh battery, and you will be able to get it in black or white.
The first piece of info suggested that the handset will arrive with Android 5.0, but in the promo video Android 4.4.4 KitKat is listed as the phone’s OS. As soon as Sony’s clarified this, we will let you know.
