It’s been ages since we’ve heard rumours about Apple launching smaller versions of its phones, but now they’re back. The info about an “iPhone Mini” hails from Taiwan, and the source that brought us this piece of news quotes parts supplier for Apple. Apparently, next year is the year when Apple will reveal a “4” iPhone”.
Apple released two larger iPhone models back in September – the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Now, even though many users eagerly waited for bigger iPhones to arrive on the market, there are still those who prefer smaller versions, such as the iPhone 5S and 5C, because you can easily use them with one hand only. Having this in mind, a smaller version of the famous phones might come as a welcome addition to the iOS family. A 4” iPhone will appeal to a lot of people, and Apple believes that mini phones will suit women better than the 5.5” and 4.7” models.
Recently, we also heard a rumour that Apple will be discontinuing the iPhone 5C next year, and releasing a new phone in its stead. Here’s where that mini would fit in great. The only questions is – will it be a premium or a budget device?
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sales are looking great, so there’s no worry for all of you larger-screen lovers out there – Apple will surely launch more of them in the future.
